It was in the summer of 2007 where the founding members and both Rhythm/Lead guitarists; Walter Martinez from Gardena, Ca and Ecuadorian native Emilio Coello met for the first time at the Hollywood guitar center after placing an add on CraigsList. Their mission was to start a thunderously symphonic and brutally melodic Power Metal band that would stand the test of time from Los Angeles. Since there were and still are no bands of that respectable caliber in the LA basin, they needed to complete their musical arsenal by finding an explosive drummer and bass player to hold down the ground pounding rhythm they envisioned. As Thrash, Black and Death metal continue to rule the local metal scene, Walter met drummer Romeo Cisneros, from East LA, Ca at a local black metal show, asked him to join, he auditioned and we found our machine gun drummer. Shortly after that, Walter's close friend Steve Ceron from Gardena, Ca added to the strongly abrasive rhythm on bass guitar. The vision was almost complete and a name was conjured by the minds of Romeo and Walter; and SHADOWS ENTWINED was born in September 2007. Songs were written in timely fashion to release a demo as soon as possible. But one thing was still amiss; a lead singer that would give the music the melodic finishing touches. After a few months of grueling auditions for a vocalist, Tim Anderson from Torrance, Ca fit the bands requirements and joined shortly after in January 2008. With European influences such as Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Iron Maiden and many other genres of metal, the goal is to bring a darker, more brutal Power Metal to the forefront of Los Angeles, in which to prove we belong with the best. Shadows Entwined went into the studio to record their first CD in March 2008 and the final CD was released and sold in June 2008. With rising buzz on internet metal shows in Mexico, South America, and to be played on X 103.9 San Bernardino, Shadows Entwined is the Power Metal act of Los Angeles to look out for in the new millennium. While playing shows since April to present day at major Hollywood venues like the Whisky A GoGo, and The Knitting Factory with names such as, Doro Pesch from Germany and Fatal Smile from Sweden, Shadows Entwined desires to break new ground for the metal scene.
